David Hasselhoff has launched his brand new iPhone game Hoff Zombie Beach.
The game sees The Hoff defending a beach from mutant zombies who arrive from the sea. Weapons include an exploding seagull and a goo gun, while the actor must stop the undead before they destroy the sandcastles at his feet.
Speaking about the game with Digital Spy, Hasselhoff said that it can be played by all age groups, and that it contains many references to his previous work.
“We did Dance Hoff with PlayStation a few years ago, and I met with a group of game designers, and I said that I’d like to do a Hoff game.
“I wasn’t looking for a downpayment, so I said, ‘Let’s be partners’. They asked what I liked, and I said, ‘I like zombies!’ and Zombieland is one of my all-time favourite movies.
“It is natural, bringing in some Knight Rider, a little Baywatch, to defend against all these zombies who are coming out the water to hurt The Hoff!”
He continued: “Pamela Anderson is a zombie in the game, not in real life, she’s a lovely lady!
“It’s a lot of fun, something that kids can play. One of the key successes to stuff I’ve done over the years is that I’ve never got the role like ER or Hill Street Blues. My stuff was pretty much across the board for families, a 3-year-old could play this game, all the way to an 85-year-old, I’ve got my dad playing this game.”
Hasselhoff also revealed that players with high scores may receive big prizes in the future.
“We’re talking about whoever gets ten high scores will be given a zombie party, or put you in my next movie, or whoever has the highest score can be in the next game.”
