There’s a reason it’s not called “Brainwatch.” Producers on the new “Baywatch” film may have caused some confusion by giving characters played by Kelly Rohrbach and Pamela Anderson more or less the same name.
Although this time around, Anderson’s got a promotion. “I actually play Captain Parker, she is CJ Parker,” she told us at the World Values Network’s fourth annual Champions of Jewish Values in Midtown.
“They still gave me my name and there’s actually a funny scene where (Rohrbach) goes, ‘Hey, that’s my name!’ But yeah, I think they realized when they brought me on they couldn’t give me another name. So I’m Captain Parker in the movie. It’s kind of a spoofy thing. I haven’t read the rest of the script.”
Anderson, an active animal rights advocate and devout vegan, said that teenage sons Brandon and Dylan deviate from the script when it comes to eating like their mom.
“I think I’m a good mom, but my sons are running around eating fried chicken in front of me just to make me crazy!” she said. She shares the two boys with her former husband, rock star Tommy Lee.
“It’s almost out of spite because they have gone through periods where they have been vegan and vegetarian and then they go through these periods where they are taunting me and teasing me,” she said.
But Anderson takes it all in stride.
“I think a lot of it has to do with testing the waters, you know, like what teenage boys do. I didn’t raise them that way and I felt like if I’m just a role model, that’s what they would choose and be vegan or vegetarian.”
According to the 48-year-old bombshell, her boys have a long-term plan to improve their diets.
“They do say, ‘We’ll be vegetarian when we are older,’ like it’s going to be a career,’” she said skeptically. “Their father ate meat, but it’s up to them.”
