April and Sky hear about Wally’s disappearance and go searching for the men. They find the boat just in time to help save Ed and Jigger. Back on shore, Ed explains how the three men make a pact to give each other proper sea burials. Seeing that the men were only acting out of friendship, Mitch arranges for Wally to be buried in a veteran’s cemetery.
Lani is excited about an upcoming audition for a music video because she believes it will be her big break. Cody becomes upset when he realizes that if she does really get a dance career started, it will take her away from Baywatch – which makes him admit how much he has come to like her over the past few weeks. Disaster strikes when Lani hurts her ankle during a rescue and Cody tells her to stay off her feet until it heals. But Lani is determined to go on with the audition, despite the pain. Cody comes along to watch and admires her talent as the audition goes great at first, but Lani’s ankle gives out and she is devastated. Believing that if she hadn’t been hurt lifeguarding, she would have gotten the video job, Lani plans to leave Baywatch. Cody tells her that he doesn’t want her to go and their romance begins to catch fire.
