When the hot Santa Ana winds blow down to the beach, the Baywatch lifeguards find themselves contending with amorous beachgoers, while Mitch is romantically pursued by a woman he saved from drowning years ago.
When the hot Santa Ana winds move in from the desert, things start heating up on the beach in more ways than one. Matt finds himself having to return a bikini to awoman in the water who’d just as soon not have it back, while CJ has to keep an elderly couple from getting too physically “involved” under a blanket. It seems, in the words of Matt, that “all the weirdos have been blown to the beach.”
However, for Mitch, things get really strange. First, he has to deal with a man named Bill, who claims his daughter went out into the water and disappeared. Though Caroline and other Baywatch lifeguards mount an exhaustive search, no body is found. Something about Bill’s behavior makes Mitch suspect that he might be lying. But why?
Kim, a beautiful young woman, tells Mitch that she has returned to California because she’s been in love with him since he rescued her when she was twelve. Mitch is flattered, but tells the woman he isn’t interested in a relationship. Her boyfriend Albert (Geraldo Rivera) accuses Mitch of interfering with their relationship. Mitch begins a humorous escapade, attempting to bring the couple back together, while at the same time escape Kim’s passionate pursuit of him.
