Tracy finally admits to Mitch that she is living on borrowed time. Meanwhile, Logan and Caroline have their hands full keeping two reckless kids on wave runners from hurting anyone.
Tracy attempts to rescue a drowning victim, but is so weak, she herself needs to be rescued. Tracy blames it on a cramp, but in reality, Tracy has aterminal illness and doesn’t know how to tell Mitch, who is deeply in love with her. However, when Mitch proposes to her, Tracy finally breaks the news to him. At first he can’t accept it, but eventually, he determines to make the most of the time they have left.
Meanwhile, two kids on unregistered wave runners are making life difficult for Logan and Caroline. The kids have been warned repeatedly about their reckless driving, but the warnings have fallen on deaf ears. When the kids’ careless ways almost kill a girl on a windsurfer, Logan is determined to stop them any way he can. He manages to impound the wave runners, but the kids get them registered and are back on the. water the next day, reckless as ever. With Mitch on leave because of Tracy’s condition, and CJ and Matt off for the day, Logan and Caroline now have their hands full with a crowded beach and two irresponsible kids out on the water, endangering people’s lives.
