Chaos reigns when Kaye Morgan hires a wannabe pop singer from England as a new waitress at the Sandy Cay, and daredevil businessman Richard Branson arrives to set a new world record for waterskiing behind a blimp. Meanwhile, Stephanie and Caroline butt heads over Caroline’s lifeguarding abilities.
Mitch notices that things aren’t going too well for Kaye Morgan at the Sandy Cay. Since the place is shorthanded, Kaye is forced to wait tables in order to pick up the slack, but at least the new cook, Maurice (Little Richard), has been a rousing success. As Kaye is cleaning up, she spots a young English woman singing and panhandling just outside the cafe. Annoyed, Kaye tells her to stop hitting up her customers, but Mitch offers the woman lunch. Her name is Molly, and she believes she will be signing a record contract anytime soon– despite her current panhandling status. Mitch suggests Molly take a waitressing job at the Sandy Cay in the meantime, and Moly accepts, much to Kaye’s chagrin. Little do Mitch and Kaye know, however, that Moly is on the run from her fiance who has just arrived at the beach from England, and he wil stop at nothing to find her.
Richard Branson is an internationally prominent British businessman who is known for his outrageous daredevil stunts. When Branson comes to Baywatch in order to set the world record for the longest water ski from behind a blimp, Mitch is assigned to standby lifeguard duty in case something goes wrong.
Stephanie is really starting to get on Caroline’s nerves, when Stephanie assigns her to the switchboard twice the same week. Stephanie explains to Caroline that despite her good work as a lifeguard, she still makes a lot of rookie mistakes, and has a lot to learn. Caroline accuses Stephanie of not trusting her, and continually treating her like a little sister rather than a fellow lifeguard. Caroline is determined to prove Stephanie’s judgment wrong.
The day comes for the big blimp waterskiing event. Branson sets the world record, but afterward, he hits an underwater post, getting tangled up in a net that is attached to it. When Mitch and Matt head out in a Scarab to rescue him, they discover Moly hiding in the cargo hold. Now, Mitch has to deal with both a stowaway and an internationally prominent drowning victim.
