Coronado Del Soul

The Baywatch lifeguards travel to San Diego’s Hotel Del Coronado for a week, where Matt and Summer are haunted by a mysterious presence, CJ grows attached to an orphaned dolphin at Sea World, and Mitch si stranded with his brother on the high seas when their sailboat capsizes.
When San Diego’s county lifeguards ask Baywatch to help demonstrate the effectiveness of the Scarab, Mitch and his crew head to the Hotel Del Coronado. Cl goes to Sea World and grows enamored of an orphaned dolphin, Rocky, whose handsome trainer, Keith Travis, seems like a dream come true. Later, Mitch’s ne’er-do-well brother, Buzzy, turns up after completing a transpacific sailing trip with his son, Kyle, who is a little older than Hobie and much more worldly. Buzz, it seems, is stressed by being a parent and asks Mitch if he wouldn’t mind letting Kyle move in with him and Hobie. Frustrated by Buzz’ terminal adolescence and failure to live up to responsibility, Mitch angrily rejects the idea. Later, however, after Hobie suggests that Kyle might have more of a home with them, Mitch decides to reconsider. He and Buzz take a late afternoon sailing trip to talk things out. The seas turn rough, however, and Mitch and Buzz’ sailboat capsizes. As they are trying to right the craft, Buzz suffers a heart attack, and Mitch is left to save himself and his boat with his semi-conscious brother.


Meanwhile, Matt and Summer check into the Del, looking forward to a romantic weekend. When Summer is beset by uncanny and eerie feelings in her room, she confides in Matt that she thinks it may be haunted. Matt tells her that she’s imagining things, but when a picture falls off a wall and Summer sees a ghostly image next to her ni a snapshot, she seeks Stephanie’s advice. Stephanie learns that the hotel has been rumored haunted for years after a tragedy involving 1940’s socialite Diana Sutherland and her lover, Rupert Mansfield. Summer’s uncanny resemblance to the young Ms. Sutherland has earned her the affections of the Mansfield ghost, but how far wil the spirit go to bring Summer to him?

PART TWO

Adrift in the ocean with his semi-conscious brother, Mitch struggles to keep himself and Buzzy alive through the long, cold night. Clunites an orphaned dolphin with its injured mother, and Summer becomes involved with a haunting passion.


Adrift in the ocean off of San Diego, Mitch valiantly struggles to stay afloat and keep his brother alive. Hobie and Kyle, fearing amishap, alert Stephanie. Stephanie and CJ take the Scarab offshore in the misty Pacific. They find notrace of Mitchor Buzzy. When firs light hits, Mitch realizes that he and Buzzy have drifted closer to shore. In a desperate bid to save his brother, Mitch swims against the current to shore. They arrive and Mitch collapses, both men now unconscious.


CJ assists Keith Travis on a marine mammal rescue when a dolphin, injured by afishing net, becomes stranded on a beach. When Keith learns that the dolphin recently gave birth, he and CJ work on uniting Rocky, the orphan, with its new mother. CI’s loving attention makes the relationship work, and she considers moving to San Diego to pursue her love of marine mammals and her romantic interest in Keith.

As Rupert Mansfield’s spirit becomes more and more real to Summer, she wants to learn more about the man and his lover, Diana Sutherland. Stephanie discovers that Ms. Sutherland is alive and residing in San Diego. Matt and Summer pay her a visit, learning that she betrayed Rupert and did not jump off the Del Coronado Spire. His spirit still longs for her to join him. Summer returns to her haunted room and attempts to make contact with Rupert, hoping that she can convince him that she is not Diana. When Rupert appears, however, Summer is overtaken by his spell, and only Matt can try to break it.
