sends her on her way. Meanwhile, Mitch saves an older gentleman from injury at the wheels of a beach tractor, and learns that he is looking for his runaway daughter. His description matches Rachel’s exactly. However, the gentleman, Henry, tells Mitch that his daughter is named Nancy. He further adds that he is dying of cancer and only wishes to see his daughter before he passes away.
Moved by the story, Mitch posts her picture on the beach. When a day passes and Rachel doesn’t return Matt’s money, he sets out to find her, catching up with her at the Marina. When Matt relates to Rachel that her father is trying to find her, she explains that she has run away because he is abusive. Unsure of who’s telling the truth, Matt urges Rachel to reconcile with her father.

Stephanie introduces Scott t o Mitch, and in doing so, realizes that she and Mitch have never resolved their own feelings for one another. Since she is on the verge of making acommitment to Scott, Stephanie seeks Mitch’s advice. After an emotional discussion, they both realize that Scott is the right one for Stephanie, and though it is not without some regret, they agree to put their own feelings for one another behind them.
Out of the blue, Rachel appears at Matt’s houseboat, asking for his help. A shipment of fine dolls from Hong Kong sent by her aunt is arriving, and she is afraid that Henry may show up to claim them. Matt accompanies her, uneasy about the trip, and his suspicions prove correct when Henry appears with a 9mm Beretta and holds them both at gunpoint; He explains that his name is Sam and that Rachel is Linda, his ex-partner who double-crossed him in Hong Kong and fled to the states. Only Mitch and Newman’s arrival at the Marina in a Scarab gives Matt a chance to escape death.
