As temperatures shoot to new highs, Mitch’s old friend Steve and his son Mike turn up for a surprise visit. When Mike is trapped in a storm drain and in danger of drowning, Steve is forced to admit to Mitch the real reason he is in L.A. -Steve has kidnapped his son as a result of a custody battle with his ex-wife, and an investigator is hot on his trail. Meanwhile, Craig is forced to decide between being a lifeguard or staying at the legal firm, but Gina asks him to consider a third option-opening his own firm.
