We are introduced to the members of Baywatch, a close-knit group of lifeguards that protect the lives of beachgoers who flood the Los Angeles beaches on a daily basis. Being a lifeguard cost Mitch his marriage.
Now, his ex-wife Gayle wants to limit his visits with his son, Hobie. When Hobie becomes despondent, Mitch feels a fishing trip with lifeguard buddy Al wilL cheer him up. Instead, Hobie and Al head for disaster. Meanwhile, rookies Eddie and Shauni share first-day fears with a respected pro.
