The competition between CJ, Caroline and Neely heats up when Inside Sports magazine comes to Baywatch to find the perfect lifeguard model for their swimsuit issue. Meanwhile, swimmers are being attacked by an alligator that is inhabiting the storm drains, and Mitch, Logan and Cody must find a way to capture it before someone gets killed.
Inside Sports magazine wants to use an authentic lifeguard as a model for their annual swimsuit issue, and the magazine’s publisher, Jerry Croft, is coming to Baywatch to find that very woman. CJ, Caroline and Neely are all interested in tr aveling to Mexico to model in Cabo San Lucas, but Caroline doesn’t think she’d have a chance competing against CJ. However, there is a sudden outbreak of chickenpox at Headquarters, and CJ is the first to come down with it.
With CJ now out of the picture, the competition narrows to Neely and Caroline. Neely already had chickenpox as a child, so she has nothing to worry about, but Caroline can’t remember if she ever had it or not. The only person who would kno w for sure is Stephanie, but she is hiking in the Sierras with her fiancé, Tom. Caroline calls and leaves a message for Stephanie to call back with the answer, but now that Neely is running the switchboard, the answer and Caroline’s fate is in Neely’s ha nds–and Neely knows it.
Some strange sea creature is attacking swimmers and surfers at Venice Beach. At first, Mitch thinks it might be a new wave of shark attacks, so in order to protect beachgoers, Venice Beach is temporarily closed. However, the bite marks on the victims don’t match that of a shark, and the attacks are happening too close to shore to be that of a barracuda. Logan suggests that it might be a “sea croc” that someone received as a pet, then flushed into the sewer system. Now that it’s grown, it ‘s looking for food. On a tip from a wino that saw a duck mysteriously disappear earlier in the week, Cody believes the Rose Avenue storm drain is where the “sea croc” lives. Cody is proven correct, but capturing the “sea croc” proves to be far more dan gerous. Now, Mitch, Cody, and Logan must risk their very lives to end this threat to the beach.
