CJ and Stephanie travel to Catalina Island for a “girls-only” weekend getaway, only to find love with two handsome men and danger while underwater scuba diving.
Mitch and Hobie hire a live-in housekeeper, whose efficiency and beauty turn their lives upside down.
Stephanie and CJ plan a peaceful “girls-only” trip to Catalina, but just a few miles from Los Angeles they come across a burning boat, and with Coast Guard assistance, they rescue the terrified family. Later, Coast Guard officer Roger Lawrence introduces himself to Stephanie. Their obvious mutual attraction does not go unnoticed by CJ. The girls remind each other they are on a “girls-only” weekend, and head to Catalina for shopping and scuba diving. While exploring intriguing coral formations, CJ encounters a diver, the very handsome Clay Burgess. In short time, this “”girls only” weekend becomes a romantic interlude.
Their love stories take a sinister turn, however, when it is discovered that Clay is a former jewel thief who escaped conviction on a technicality. Roger is convinced that he’s diving for hidden loot and predicts that CJ’s newfound romance will be dangerous. His premonition comes true when CJ and Stephanie are trapped in an underwater avalanche after Clay detonates explosives in search of the stolen jeweiry. It will take the best efforts of the Coast Guard and the Baywatch team to rescue them–but time and air are running out.
Meanwhile, Hobie complains to his Dad that he can’t handle all their housework alone. Mitch decides to interview housekeepers. He and Hobie see a series of applicants who don’t seem right until Elke, a drop- dead gorgeous Swedish au pair, arrives at the door. Mitch and Hobie immediately take a shine to the stunning beauty, and before long, she’s a part of the household. The only problem, as Mitch explains to Hobie, is that her beauty is “too distracting.”
