Mitch is offered the lead role in an action movie when the star is injured, but risks losing the role when he rejects the amorous advances of the film’s producer. Meanwhile, Shauni tries to raise money to keep an animal rescue organization from shutting down.
Having financial problems, Mitch, along with Eddie, takes a lifeguard job at a private Malibu Beach party thrown by Dita, the producer of a new action movie. At the party, Mitch makes a heroic rescue when a party boat gets too close to shore. Seeing that all eyes are on the dramatic rescue, Dita forces the film’s macho star to be a hero in front of the press. The star ends up breaking his leg, and Dita offers to make Mitch an action movie star, replacing the injured actor. Mitch’s screen test at the beach isn’t going very well, but when he sees a real-life drug-crazed guy attacknig people on a nearby bike path, Mitch takes control of the situation while the screen test cameras continue to roll. Mitch gets the part and a lucrative contract, but when Dita tries to seduce him and Mitch rejects her, Dita puts an end to Mitch’s movie career.
Meanwhile, after rescuing a seal caught in a gill net, Shauni learns that ORCAS, an aquatic animal rescue and rehabilitation organization, will
have to shut down if they can’t raise $50,000 by 6 PM Saturday. With Harvey’s help, Shauni holds a bikini contest to help raise money for ORCAS. Comedy ensues with Harvy participating and winning the contest. Unfortunately, the contest falls $20,000 short of its goal, but luckily, Harvey helped Mtich negotiate his movie contract so that it
