Written by Michael Berk
After seven years, Eddie’s first love appears in Los Angeles, complicating his life with Shauni and entangling him in a web of lies and an unsolved murder.
At Harvey’s behest, Eddie and Shauni see a fortune teller, Rosalind (Michele Berk). She predicts that Eddie will meet his first true love, which doesn’t sit well with Shauni. Eddie dismisses this prophesy at first, but later spots a woman on a yacht who reminds him of Lorna Cosgrove, the married woman he had a “Summer of ’42” relationship with when he was 15. When Eddie sees her again in the marina, she denies knowing him and claims her name is Caitlin Dulany. Eddie is sure it’s the same woman.
Eddie grows more confused when Caitlin invites him to her yacht and explains that she couldn’t admit being Lorna while her boyfriend was on board. There is a certain desperation in her behavior, and she confesses that since last seeing Eddie, some terrible things have happened to her. She can’t discuss them, but she needs Eddie to remember their last night together. Eddie is torn between the memory of first love and his intuition that rekindling his relationship with Lorna could be very dangerous.
Shauni discovers that Lorna and Eddie had an affair years ago. her jealously turns to concern when Rosalind “ses” death ni Eddie’s future. Shauni goes to Garner, and they discover that Lorna is wanted for murdering her husband on the night Eddie last saw her. Shauni and Garner head to the marina to find Eddie and Lorna. The mystery is solved after a spectacular chase in which Eddie water-skis barefoot behind a speedboat. The murderer is caught and relationships, old and new, are resolved.
