Eddie’s life is torn apart by an accusation of statutory rape, while Mitch deals with the anger of a paraplegic former lifeguard.
Eddie has been assigned Tower 18, “Gidget Gulch,” so named for the masses of teenage girls that congregate there. It’s a tough job, but
somebody has to do it, and Eddie is a complete professional. New girl in town, Caroline, sets out to join the A-list clique by seducing Eddie. When she fails, she purposefully leaves her swimsuit in Eddie’s tower. The next day, she brags to her peers that Eddie made love to her in the tower. Her peers’ disbelief turns to amazement when Eddie hands Caroline her suit.
Eric Turner had everything. Agreat body, athirst for adventure, and the love of his beautiful co-worker Megan. But all that changed when
he was paralyzed in a lifeguard competition. Unable to deal with his
newfound condition, he shuts everyone out, including Megan, and left Los Angeles. It is now a year later, and he has returned to wrestle with his demons. No one is more surprised to see him than Megan, who, though still heartbroken about their breakup, is dating again.
Turner, still the consummate daredevil, takes Hobie boogie boarding dangerously close to the rocks. Mitch orders Hobie out of the water
and confronts Turner about his continual risk-taking. What is he trying to prove? Turner angrily pulls himself back onto the boogie board and heads back to the rocks…
Meanwhile, what seemed to Caroline like an innocent fib turns quite serious when her father presses charges against Eddie. Garner arrests Eddie at Baywatch headquarters just as he and Shauni are ready to go to a black-tie dinner. Shauni is shocked to hear the charge is rape…
